The Wise Advanced i4 is powered by a next-generation low-power-consumption chip, which means you can now have both low heat and a compact size without making any compromises.
Increasing the speed while cooling the chip was a difficult puzzle that engineers worldwide had been racing to solve for the past few years. In the past, you could either buy one with a fan attached to it.
The i4 features data transfer rates up to 4000 MB/s, and solid sustained writing performance of at least 650 MB/s, which guarantees more than enough speed for Apple users to capture all video codecs without limits. This means unlocking previously unavailable slo-mo features, including 4K 120 fps* ProRes on iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max**, with built-in MagSafe (iPhone not included).
*Maximum 4K 60 fps, for iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, requires external storage that supports minimum sustained write of 220 MB per second.
*Maximum 4K 120 fps, for iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max only, requires external storage that supports minimum sustained write of 440 MB per second.
**Only certain iPhone models support recording ProRes directly on an external storage device connected with USB-C. For specific models, please see the link here
Price & Availability
The Wise i4 Mobile SSD will be available in mid-June and will come with one standard 50cm USB-IF certified USB4 cable and one short flexible 1 cm cable. There is currently no information about pricing.
